Glad to see another PC Gamer + Mac User on the forums. One day my friend, we could perhaps game on our Macs...one day:( *soft weeping
Some of the guys I play with online literally joke on me because I'm running flight sims on my Mac. Yet my specs suck and the game/computer works way better than theirs. Go figure.
Constant teamspeak chatter: I gotta restart be right back ;)

Wow, white looks on point. I think my next iPhone might be white.
And i'm still deciding whether I want to jump from the 3GS at this time or not. I mean, it still works.

I'm thinking the same thing ... So what did Steve promise for 06? And what fits that bill?

Well, I'll hop on the bandwagon. My measly old MBP should be able to cope with it. I'll get my PS3 onto the game as well, just to see how much I can get out of it.
(far out you guys are well equipped)
Great to have you aboard! Every machine we can get helps. PS3's are great folding machines.

Hyper-Threading (Intel Core i7 only) a technology that allows two threads to run simultaneously on each core. So a quad-core iMac has eight virtual cores, all of which are recognized by Mac OS X. This enables the processor to deliver faster performance by spreading tasks more evenly across a greater number of cores.
-.-
Come on only Hyper-threading with the i7 -.-
I was looking to verify that . . . it blows now that I know. I didn't want to have to spend the extra $200 for HT.
That's something I'll put on my list when I look at the next base model Mac Pro.
Wouldn't it be smart to wait for Lion in 2 months and get that for free...
Yes, it would, and I'd recommend that for anyone that doesn't need a new machine right this very minute.
I personally, needed one since I sold my Power Mac G5 almost 3 years ago. I've been dying ever since at the home office. I'd pay the $129 or whatever to get Lion later, and drop the cash on the iMac now if I needed a machine right this very minute.

We were in Ft. Lauderdale, walking along I-95 when we spotted this breath of fresh air. Dear spouse had to put up with me when I insisted going back to get my camera. This was taken just 2 weeks ago, while we waited for our cruise. (Western Caribbean pictures will be coming!) A nice break from winter: today's snow storm dumped 8" of heavy snow in our yard!

so it is normal. this does not mean that anyone, technician or CEO, said it is acceptable. the technicians notes, imho, seem to merely state that the phone works as expected, normally, regardless of the networks issues.
Thanks for saying it before I had to. Normal does not mean acceptable. Just like it's normal to be overweight in the U.S., this does not make it acceptable (although many seem to think so and take pride in it).

It's actually 2.4 grams, which may not be a huge difference per se but in a product with such tight parts tollerance to me suggest differences in parts used. It may be the white casing, it may be a reshaped chassis or even a different chip. iFixit will tell.
Thanks for catching that. 2.4g yes.

For those experiencing the "device is not eligible for this build" error, the solution is up at the Apple support discussions. (https://discussions.apple.com/message/13386595?messageID=13386595)

An entire cottage industry around virtualization it seems is slowly springing up... more support for OSX means this is great news for Apple marketshare! :)

against other manufacturer's offerings both spec and pricewise?
### Alienware is still significantly better in terms of performance specs. For $2700, you can build an Alienware with RAID HDs, etc. Biggest question for me is...is Apple still underclocking the GPU on the 15" model...??? To me, Apple's MBPs aren't as good as a value as their Mac Pro, but with this update, Apple's "in the ballpark"...and I would get the MBP over the Alienware...assuming Autodesk releases a UB of Maya soon. My two cents...

Spring-loaded folders in the dock. So you can drag a file onto a folder in the dock and have it spring open - like in the Finder.
Oh. I thought it would be how fast the dock unhides when you hover over it.

Apple will be stupid, make their TV the same shape as the others and be sued by everyone.
Funny how it is. Apple is ultra successful, makes tons of money, and still cowers out of fear.
The fanboys feel sorry for them, and make excuses.
What a bizarre environment the little man lives in.

I will have to take a look at DoubleTwist, again.
Just an FYI though, it won't sync over DRM content. That stuff is locked to iTunes and any iPod associated with the account.
It's based on demand. If it's still popular its more expensive - no matter how old it is.
The price increase from Apple was mainly done to have the music be DRM free.

Does anyone know what the month view will look like with this new update to lion...screenshots please.
Guaranteed it will look just like the iPad version, which I don't mind. I think iCal is probably one of my favorites apps on iPad.

You can't beat it because it's a pirate site. NONE of the money from the site goes to the artists, songwriters, producers, labels, etc.
There's a reason it's based out of Russia. So I hope you're happy knowing your essentially buying stolen property.
I don't buy from either of these any more after being introduced to Gomusicnow.com (or any of the other 25 similar sites). 9 cents per song, or ~$.80-$1.5 per ALBUM. Quality 320 for most newer albums and 220-300 for older. Can't beat it.

Yeah, if it weren't exclusive the load would be split between multiple networks, and also increase competition in terms of network performance, features, and pricing. But no, that would be too logical...
You suck Apple! At least you have a chance to correct your mistake, just don't renew the agreement with AT&T.
